  • Agrees that autism is full of issues but it also has enormous unusual advantages and ability to see small details in the environment coupled with nonverbal problem solving skills. Although people with autism may have difficulties to contend with interpreting facial expressions, evidence suggests that their non-social visual processing skills may be significantly superior to neurotypical individuals. Bearing this in mind, suggests that it is absolutely essential that visual supports are included and paired with auditory input in a learning environment.
