It is also a great book for teachers to read to a class to help them understand what it means to be a little bit different and to help the understand and accept those differences. It is the story of Adalyn, who finds schools an overwhelming place to be and often needs to retreat to her pop up tent which is "like a big hug" giving Adalyn comfort and security. Then into Adalyn's life comes Clare, a therapy dog, whose job is to help make things at school easier and to help her make friends. Adalyn's Clare is a delightful story, especially for children who like animals.

Adalyn's Clare is a book full of love and care. I like reading this book to my service users because: The font is readable, the pictures are lively e.g. a talking dog, a listening mouse and a singing parrot. The story is full of love and caring - an amazing book.
