Lots of useful information. Would recommend this to others who would like to explain autism to other people.

This book provides an overview of ASD from its history, etiology, epidemiology and as well as impact on families and school. It is a good general introduction but it is not comprehenive. For example the treatment section focuses on ABA, medication and the value of computers and there is little discussion of speech therapy and sensory issues. Also, while explaining how research on the link between MMR and autism has been rejected it has an unhelpful large picture of a child being immunised on the page titled “The Triggers of Autism”. 3 stars
