Finds bullying experiences are very common amongst this population, with victimization rates that are twice as high as those found in the general population. Children at greatest risk are those who are younger in age, have greater communication difficulties, have internalising mental health problems, have fewer friends at school and have parents with greater mental health problems. Calls for immediate systemic interventions that change the social architecture of the school environment.
