Each chapter is given over to a topic like “Travel time”, which is broken down into a variety of components such as hotel rooms, trips to relatives, airplane rides. Finally each of these has a list of the top ten tips for survival within that situation. This practical, easy-to-read, easy-to-follow book is full of advice that has been gathered from the contributor’s lived experiences. All of the solutions presented have been tried and tested within the family context, then shared so that others can benefit. Most tips are written as concisely as possible; an asterix denotes further in-depth information which can be found in the appendix along with lists of useful resources and websites. Recommended for all families with children on the Autism Spectrum to be used as when they want. This is not a book for reading through, but one for dipping into when the occasion arises.

Good for dipping in and out of. This book is aimed at a wide range of abilities so some will apply but not all.
