"Most dog related injuries happen to children in their own home or the home of a relative or a friend and by a dog they know." - NZIAM So this book is a must read for parents, dog owners and children. However it's knowledge that everyone would benefit from presented in an amusing and clever way - who knows, yopu might learn something new - I certaintly did (i.e. a yawning dog is an unhappy dog). The first section is for children, providing a rhyming couplet - easy to remeber, e.g. "If a dog's running free stand like a tree" adjacent to an illustration and some additional information from Buddy, the resident talking dog. The Section for Grown Ups and Clever Kids includes brilliant illustrations of "signs that a dog is unhappy" and "signs that a dog is happy" and a final Does and Dont's page to reinforce the lessons learned "PLEASE KEEP CHILDREN SAFE AND DOGS HAPPY". A super book with wonderful (and funny) illustrations the everyone can enjoy and learn from. |
