Hingsburger, Dave

Healthy sexuality: attitudes, systems, and policies - 2002 - Research and Practice for Persons with Severe Disabilities 27 (1) 2002: 8-17 .

The authors suggest that people with developmental disabilities can develop healthy sexual relationships if they live in healthy systems. Here they discuss the attributes of healthy service systems and the importance of strong sexual self-advocacy by people with disabilities. They also emphasise the importance of developing positive attitudes in staff, parents and people with disabilities regarding both sexuality and disability.
