Urbano, Richard C.

Divorce in families of children with Down syndrome : a population-based study - 2007 - American Journal on Mental Retardation 112 (4) 2007: 261-274 .

Examines the nature, timing and correlates of divorce in families of children with Down syndrome, other birth defects and no identified disability. Finds that divorce rates among families of children with Down syndrome were lower than the other two groups. When divorce did occur in the Down syndrome group, however, a higher proportion occurred within the first two years after the child's birth.
